/AMBIANCE\ is one of other musical projects by a Nicaraguan artist living in Los Angeles. Grew up in Miami, Florida....surrounded by cuban music and booty bass. thats where the love for electro, new wave, freestyle and bass began. in the meantime, J. picks up the saxophone and begins to learn music through friends and musician parents of friends.... soon playing in...concert band, ska band, rock band, jazz bands, wedding bands, with DJs, in pop bands etc etc etc.....

Moved to New York to study jazz saxophone...did that for a couple years...moved back to Miami where J continued to produce and write music. Toured for 3 years with Maynard Ferguson, a jazz trumpeter, all the time writing and producing music
Moved back to NY to write music for friends videos. Got into the scoring for image and commercials. Got involved in all aspects of art...performance, film, slides, collage, installation, the avant-garde and surreal. had a couple of bands.... 2s and 4s (a 5 piece avant-jazz group). Something in Spanish/Miami Drive (a electro duo with singer Michelle Perez)....played and recorded with/in friends bands.

After about 10 years in NY, having undergone a transformative life experience....J decided to start a purely, analogue, live and into cassette.....

J, performing as /AMBIANCE\ in NY for a year or 2

Moved to Los Angeles had not performed live for a bit, so started next project, COMEGATOS, still using analogue electronics but not using cassette tape. J, was honored to have released his very first EP ever, through one of his favorite producers label, Disque Discos, run by el Don ispiratore, Alec Sander. 3 tracks / 3 videos. At the same time J decided to rerecord all the /AMBIANCE\ material again, without using cassette tape so how he has the LOFI and HIFI versions. Making music for commercials and stuff, producing electronic music as /AMBIANCE\ and COMEGATOS and deeply learning some of his favorite jazz standards with friends and playing free jazz.....lives with his girlfriend a in a guest house in the Hollywood Hills...trying to make friends. Oh and has a little doggie, Lula.
